‘TWEEN WATERS MARINA CRUISE
It was a motor trip down the waterway to the
‘Tween Waters Marina on Saturday morning, but we
were rewarded in the afternoon with relaxation at
poolside, a little R and R, and maybe a
refreshment or two. Some of the boaters stayed in
Pelican Bay the night before which made their trip
a little more pleasant. Happy Hour was dockside
with a little rain on the side to cool things off.
What a great opportunity for the cruisers to meet
some of our new members who joined us for this
trip.
Donning our rain jackets, we made the short trek
to the Crow’s Nest Restaurant where we had a
delicious meal and great company. Carol, our
Dancing Queen, was nice enough to lead us onto the
dance floor after the band
started
to play. A great time was had by all and by the
time we left the restaurant, the weather had
cleared and it was a beautiful night.
Sunday we left a little earlier than planned
because the forecast was for rain and high winds
in the afternoon. The rain gods arrived earlier
than we thought but things cleared once we arrived
at Charlotte Harbor. The sun came out and we had a
beautiful sail the rest of the trip. That’s
Florida weather for you! Thanks to Ron and Carol
Scalzo for being cruise captains.
We do need captains for our upcoming cruises. It’s
a great way to meet other boaters and have fun. If
you signed up for any of our upcoming cruises,
please consider being a Captain.
